The Eagle Island |
The Eagle Island begins as alegend, continues like a dream and ends as a story. It began with a tale "story of seven beggars" written by Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav, that my dad told me when I was a kid. After many years, when I told it to my girl, Geffen, it formed to a new story presented here before you.
This is a story about our ability to remember what we had before we had words - sights, smells, sounds and sensations; story about the eagle Yanuka, which was the smallest and most intelligent in the kingdom; a story about what happened once can happen in the future.
